Mountain lion activity

A cougar recently visited a Pinebrook home on Tall Oaks Drive. The cat departed peacefully. However, the day after, one dog was killed and another injured in Summit Park. DWR shot and killed the cat. There is no way to know if the cat was the same one seen in Pinebrook. Residents should be aware that wildlife is constantly present in our mountain home. As was the case in Summit Park, pets that are allowed to roam off leash present an easy meal for predators. Parents, pet owners and hikers should always take precautions (recreate in groups, not solo) and be on the alert for wildlife.
